Nox's Tavern & Grill

Nox's Tavern stands out for a reason: its burgers are steamed rather than grilled or smashed. The Nox Burger is a steamed half-pound patty with melted white cheddar, and the house secret sauce comes on the side so you can add as much as you want. The result is soft, juicy and unlike most burgers in town.

The original tavern is on Blaw Avenue in Blawnox, a short drive up the Allegheny from the city, and there is a second location on William Flynn Highway in Allison Park. It still earns fans in local burger threads.
