Pittsburgh Sandwich Society

Pittsburgh Sandwich Society runs the kitchen at Strange Roots Experimental Ales in Millvale, and its burger has a cult following. The In-N-Aht Burger is a Pittsburgh spin on a West Coast double: two smashed beef patties with Yinz Jam, Pittsburgh Pickle Co. pickles and special sauce.

Millvale is just across the Allegheny from Lawrenceville, so it is easy to fold into a day on the north side of the river. Order a sour or wild ale from Strange Roots and you have one of the more distinctly local burger meals around.
