Our Take
Ringside Cafe is one of the oldest bars in downtown Columbus. It opened in 1897 as the Board of Trade Saloon and took the Ringside name in the 1930s, when a wrestling promoter bought it. Tucked down an alley off Broad Street, it still feels like a hidden old-city tavern.
The burgers carry boxing names, including the Jack Dempsey and the oversized Buster Douglas. Come for a burger and a beer at lunch or after work downtown. It is one of the best ways to taste a bit of old Columbus.
