Roots Burger Bar

Roots Burger Bar serves smash burgers as singles, doubles or triples, so you can choose how much crust you want. It is a casual, family-friendly spot with kids' meals, and the 71st Street location is convenient for the northeast side.

There is also a Roots in Carmel. If you are new to the style, start with a double, which gives you the best ratio of crispy edges to bun. The format is simple and fast, which makes it a dependable weeknight pick.
