Smashed RVA

Smashed RVA started as a pop-up favorite before settling into a shop on Brook Road. The burgers use beef from Seven Hills, a Virginia meat company, smashed thin and crisp. The Mac Smash, with American cheese and a house Mac sauce, is the order most people come for, as a single or a double.

It is a small, focused operation, and it has landed on several lists of the city's best burgers, including the Yelp-based rankings that put it at the top in 2025. There is a vegan smash burger too, so it works for mixed groups.
