Our Take
The 7th Street Standard is the downtown restaurant at the Hyatt Centric, and its burger has a real local following. The 7th Street Double Bacon Burger is built on a house-ground blend of tri-tip and New York striploin, then stacked with thick peppered bacon, sharp cheddar, caramelized onions and harissa aioli on a brioche bun.
That burger took the People's Choice prize at the 2025 Sacramento Burger Battle, which makes it a good benchmark for the city's chef-driven burgers. It is a sit-down spot, so it works well before a show or a Kings game downtown.
