Westside Drive In

Westside Drive In is a classic Boise drive-in on State Street, and locals point to it for fries and shakes as much as for burgers. It is the kind of place where a cheeseburger, fries and a thick milkshake is the obvious order.

It shows up on lists of the area's top-rated burger restaurants and is a good stop on the way into or out of downtown. Order a burger with fries and a shake for the full drive-in experience, and save room, because the sides here are a big part of the appeal for regulars.
